The Full Story
Based in the heart of Delhi – home to the world’s finest tailors – we have been crafting finely tailored clothes since 1967. The company was founded by my father Mr. Kasturi lal kakkar – who was a master tailor and made suits for many of the leading entertainment and establishment figures of the day. Unfortunately, after my dad. We had a tough time running the business for quite a few years, However, a better future always awaits when your brand has a vision & persistence. The company found its wing of glory for a reason to try always something new & always try to innovate the same repetitive tasks with more efficiency & 6 sigma, The company clocked the foreign orders & elite wedding class. So we got a chance to move into larger premises, We kept innovating all those years & mastered the techniques of hand embroideries & developed a quality centric approach. Time bound with the highest satisfaction guaranteed. In 2006 we opened our flagship bespoke store at Lajpat nagar part -1, it's now known as Royal sutra Designer bespoke studio. In 2010 we launched The Royal sutra website. Today, I run the business with the help of my wife Shanu katyayan ( fashion designer) and our close-knit team. We have customers in over 20 countries and continue to offer a wide range of ready-to-wear and bespoke garments including men’s sherwani, indo western, shirts, suits, silk ties and much more.
